Cancellations must be received at least 48 hours prior to the event. If the event is cancelled 24 hours prior to the event a 25% cancellation fee will be charged. Cancellations received with less than 24 hours notice, may be subject to a cancellation fee of 100% of anticipated charges.
Menu prices quoted are subject to change due to market conditions. All pricing is subject to applicable taxes. There is a minimum order of $25.00. A $10.00 event charge will be applied to all delivered catering functions under $100.00 billing.
Please note that Lakehead University has a catering agreement with ARAMARK in which they have exclusive rights on campus for all food services. Bringing in extra food and beverages is not permitted. It is understood that in the event that a client brings in external food or beverages, the client will be invoiced for the event at our caterer's rate.
Exception: The one exception to this rule is when arrangements are made through the student union AND the event takes place in the Outpost.
Due to Provincial health regulations, Lakehead University requires that the University Caterer supply all food services on campus. After the event any remaining food items provided by the caterer MUST remain at the event on campus.
Failure to abide by these policies may result in an immediate termination of the occurring event.
Events held outside of the University Campus may be subject to extra charges should delivery costs exceed normal service.
The Catering Office requires a guaranteed expected number of meals to be served at least 72 hours prior to the function. Should a guarantee not be received by the Catering Department, the original expected attendance will be prepared and charged.
To provide you with quality service, we request orders to be placed at least 3 business days prior to the event. Seven days notice is required for large receptions and dinners. Orders placed with less than 24 hours notice will be based on product and staff availability. Orders can be placed by internet, phone or fax. Please call the catering manager if you do not receive confirmation of your order at 343-8142. Please note: between May-August additional charges may apply to orders delivered after 4:00 p.m. and on weekends.
If an emergency order is placed in a shorter time frame than outlined above, substitutions may apply. The organizer undertakes to pay the quoted rates for the number guaranteed or in attendance, whichever is greater. We are, however, prepared to serve 5% above the guaranteed number of people attending the function.
Billing will be included in the Conference Services billing concluding the event. Payment is due to the Conference Services office.
Minimum Order Charge
Please note that some menu items have minimum billing numbers. For example, barbecues have a minimum billing number of 25. You may certainly order this service for fewer people (however billing will be based on the minimum billing number). There is a minimum order amount of $25.00 for all orders.
